Tunbridge Wells parks retain their Green Flag Awards in 2021

Category: News Published: Wednesday 24 November 2021

Once again Grosvenor and Hilbert Park, St John’s Park, Dunorlan Park, Calverley Grounds, Woodbury Park Cemetery and The Grove have retained their Green Flag for another year.

Dunorlan Park retained its Green Heritage Site Accreditation, and Grosvenor and Hilbert Park now also has the same heritage site accreditation.

It goes without saying that these awards are only possible because of the hard work and support of the Friends' groups and volunteers.

The Green Flag Award scheme, managed by environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy, recognises and rewards well-managed parks and green spaces, setting the benchmark standard for their management across the United Kingdom and around the world.

The Green Flag means they are good quality parks and green spaces that are managed in an environmentally sensitive and sustainable way. They are welcoming places that are healthy, safe and secure for all members of the community to use.
