How to get involved
The Royal Tunbridge Wells in Bloom campaign 2026
The Royal Tunbridge Wells (RTW) in Bloom campaign will launch on Saturday 25th April at the Precinct. Bloom stall will be open from 10am until 3pm. As usual there will be plants and seeds to give away and the competition entry form ready for collection.
South & South East in Bloom RHS judges will assess our town this summer in the Small City category. Everyone can get involved to help us to make our entry a successful one by taking part on the Bloom competitions, volunteering in our parks or sponsoring a floral display.
Royal Tunbridge Wells in Bloom competition
The Royal Tunbridge Wells in Bloom gardening competition will continue in 2026. The competition is open to residents, businesses, community groups, and schools. Judging is expected to take place in June for allotments and schools, and in late July for all other categories.
Please contact the Parks Team if you would like to request a printed copy of the competition entry form.
Volunteering in parks and open spaces
TWBC Parks team runs Monday Volunteering group at Dunorlan Park. There are also opportunities to join existing Friends groups involved in the parks and open spaces. For more information contact parksteam@tunbridgewells.gov.uk.
The Kent High Weald Partnership (KHWP) is a great organisation to join if you are looking to take part in hands-on conservation tasks in our borough. KHWP is a partnership between Tunbridge Wells Borough Council, Kent County Council and the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Most of their activities are based in the borough, which lies within the High Weald AONB. For further information please visit the Kent High Weald Partnership website.
We thank you all for your ongoing support.
Blooming Marvellous Photo Competition 2026 – Fruit and Seeds
Get your cameras ready! Our Fruit and Seeds photography competition invites both adults and children to explore the incredible shapes, textures and colours found in the fruit and seeds of our native plants.
We’re looking for striking images that celebrate the beauty of nature close to home - whether spotted in local open spaces, parks, gardens or allotments. From bright berries to seed pods, cones and catkins, we want to see the wonders you discover right here within the borough of Tunbridge Wells. Step outside, look closely, and let the natural world inspire you. We can’t wait to see the unique moments you capture!
The winning images will be displayed in the Royal Victoria Place.
This competition is open for all and will be judged in two categories: children (up to age 18) and adults (18 plus). Photos can be taken in landscape or portrait layout, but we require high resolution. To ensure its delivery, please send one image per email. There is a limit of three pictures per person.
Please submit the photos in digital format on email to BloomPhoto@tunbridgewells.gov.uk by Friday 13 November 2026 and include the following information:
- the photographer’s name
